Freeport, Ill. — Thursday night was a great occasion for the Jane Addams chapter of American Business Women’s Association (ABWA) as they announced the 2011 Woman of the Year and Business Associate of the Year.

After a guest speaker, current Jane Addams chapter president and 2010 Woman of the Year Peggy Larson of German Valley, announced Patti Bigger of Rockford as the 2011 Woman of the Year for her volunteer work in social service groups, literacy groups and leadership roles within the national AWBA organization.
