Rotary Club Visits Specialty Screw

The Rockford East-Cherry Valley Rotary Club toured Specialty Screw on June 10, 2008.  Marcia Mueller, vocational chairman, stated the Rotarians seek out business tours four or five times a year as a way to advance their business awareness in a variety of enterprises in our community.

Specialty Screw President and fellow Rotarian to a sister chapter, Russ Johansson lead the program.  Specialty Screw green initiatives continue to be well received by the community, from waste water reduction to the elimination of paper systems and copy paper waste.

The Rotarians viewed the various oil and water recycling systems, energy management opportunities and the award winning Native Prairie the company established in 1996 with four acres of unused land.
